Western Union update

If you are currently in receipt of your pension and are living overseas, you will receive the pension you have with Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) via Western Union. Please find the below communication from Western Union which details some changes you should be aware of.

As you may have heard, Western Union Business Solutions are transitioning to Convera. On March 1 2022, Western Union Business Solutions announced the exciting news that Goldfinch Partners and The Baupost Group consortium would acquire Western Union Business Solutions and that the first close had been completed.  

What does rebranding to Convera mean for you? 

In the coming months, as part of transitioning the Western Union Business Solutions brand to the new brand Convera UK Limited, they will be novating their existing bank relations to the new entity name. 

Whilst Western Union Business Solutions will be rebranding this will not impact the date you receive your monthly pension. This may however mean that you will see Convera UK Limited as the name on your bank statement for the monthly pension you receive from us.
