What is My Pension?

My Pension lets you:

Are your contact details up to date?

If we don’t have your current home or email address you might miss out on receiving important information about your pension. You can update these in the My Details section of your My Pension account.


Is your death grant nomination up to date?

My Pension lets you view and update your death grant nomination. By doing this, you are letting us know who you would like us to pay any death grant due to in the event of your death.


Your latest annual benefit statement is available online

You can find it in the My Documents section of your My Pension account. Your statement includes details of how your pension pot is building up, what your pension might be worth when you retire and what life cover you have.

 

Find your latest pension documents

Most of the correspondence we now send you will be added to your My Pension account, including your latest annual benefit statement. You can also upload documents or copies of forms and certificates to your account, so you don’t need to send them in the post.

 

Do you know what your pension will be worth when you retire?

You can use the pension calculator in your My Pension account to estimate the value of your pension at a future date. Choose any date from the date you turn age 55 onwards to find out what your pension and any retirement lump sum due is likely to be worth.


Manage your retirement online

Many of our members can use My Pension to manage and monitor their retirement. If your pension benefits are currently on hold, once you've reached retirement age you can submit a payment request through your My Pension account, and we'll be in touch to start the retirement process. If you are currently paying into your pension, you'll need to speak to your employer to start the process. You will need to complete some forms and confirm some details, but this can all be done online. We even give you a task list to help you keep track of what you need to send to us.
