We hold regular recruitment events in which you can come along to meet us for an informal chat and find out about what we do. Our next event will be advertised on this page.
Current GMPF vacancies
Unfortunately, we do not have any vacancies at present
The time it takes us to recruit can vary, depending on the job and how many people apply. But we would hope to be able to complete the process within one month of the closing date.
Please apply using our jobs website, greater.jobs. You will need to log in and follow the instructions. It should be straight forward, but please get in touch if you need any help.
When applying please ensure you show how you meet all the essential criteria on your application.
We have a helpful leaflet below with some handy tips on how to complete your application.
GMPF is a great place to work and we have lots to offer our employees.
Our offices are modern and open plan. We work in teams, all based in Droylsden. The majority of roles are currently hybrid working, with the option to work either from home or in the office, though you may be asked to come in to the office on certain days.
Full time posts are 36 hours each week and annual holiday entitlement starts at 25 days. We offer flexible working for most posts and actively support our employees with their career progression.
As your employer, Tameside MBC will automatically enrol you into the Local Government Pension Scheme when you start. They pay contributions into your pension too.
Our offices have excellent transport links, with good connections to the Metrolink, bus services and the M60. There are several car parks nearby.
We also have changing rooms and secure lockers for you to use.
Tameside MBC has an employee rewards and benefits scheme, which includes benefits such as offers on gym membership and discounts from local shops and eateries.
