Scams are on the rise, so it is more important than ever that you protect yourself and your pension.
Although your pension account can’t simply be emptied out, in your online My Pension account you can;
- change your address
- your lump sum death grant nomination
- and your bank details (once your pension is in payment).
Therefore it is important only you have access to your account and that you check it regularly.
We will never ask for your password so if you are asked, never share it. And if you share your computer, don’t save your password on it.
We will never cold call you so if you receive a phone call you’re not sure about, don’t give out your personal details.
We will email you from time to time but if you are suspicious of any links, visit our website directly instead. Once on the website you can either visit the news area or log in to your My Pension account to check for any updates.
If you suspect someone may have accessed your account, you can change your login details anytime by logging in to your My Pension account.
If in doubt, take your time, think about what you’re being asked and remember you can visit our website or call our Customer Services team instead.
